Most travelers give Lima a day or two on each end of their trip. This half day is the one piece of the city we insist deserves structure; the food scene handles the rest on its own.

Season and availability
Lima's grey-sky season (June–November) doesn't touch this day — it's architecture and interiors. December through April adds the blue sky to your photos.
Worth knowing
In our plans Lima keeps two nights at each end at most: it's the doorway to Peru, not the destination. That's a deliberate call — the Andes are why you flew here.
