A full day above Ollantaytambo with the weaving community of Huilloc: natural dyes, techniques older than the Incas' stones, and a gentle walk to the Pumamarca terraces through a valley that doesn't appear on postcards.
This is the signature day of our quieter door, and the one we're proudest to publish a price for — because almost nobody else offers it at all, let alone with the number visible.

Season and availability
Year-round; the walk is loveliest in the April–June green after the rains. Community days flex around local festivities — we confirm the exact day with them, not for them.

What you pay here lands differently: the community hosts directly, and what you buy, you buy from the hands that made it. It's also why this day never feels staged — it isn't.

- Is the Huilloc day suitable for kids or older travelers?
- Yes — the community part is unhurried and the Pumamarca walk is gentle and optional. It's one of the most age-proof days we offer.
- Isn't a community visit awkward or performative?
- Done badly, it can be. This one is hosted by the community on their terms, in their working season rhythms, with a guide who translates culture rather than reciting it. The difference is the whole product.
